Career Pilot is a free job fit analysis tool. This policy explains what data is used and how.

What data we collect

We collect no personal data. Career Pilot stores everything locally in your browser (localStorage):

• Your CV text
• Job descriptions you paste or import
• Your Gemini API key
• Your matching preferences (persona, focus, dealbreakers)

None of this is sent to our servers or shared with third parties.

Google Gemini API

When you run an analysis, your CV and job description are sent to the Google Gemini API to generate a fit report. This call is made directly from your browser using your own API key. We do not proxy, store, or log the content of these requests.

Google's data handling is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Chrome Extension

The Career Pilot browser extension scrapes job postings from the page you are viewing and sends that data to the Career Pilot web app via browser storage. No data is transmitted to any external server by the extension itself.

Cookies and tracking

Career Pilot uses no cookies, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
